UGC – Academic Bank of Credits (ABC)
What is an ABC ID?
The Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID is a unique 12-digit identifier issued by the Government of India under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It allows students to securely store, accumulate, and transfer academic credits earned across institutions — all in one digital wallet.
ABC ID is mandatory for all students enrolling in UGC-approved online programs from Academic Year 2023–24 onwards.
Step-by-Step Process

Visit the official ABC portal
Go to www.abc.gov.in — the official Government of India ABC platform.

Login with DigiLocker
Click "Student" and sign in using your DigiLocker account (Aadhaar-linked mobile number required).

Search for GNDU
Select your Academic Year, then search for Guru Nanak Dev University as your institution.

Enter your details
Provide your name, date of birth, and roll number / enrollment ID exactly as registered with GNDU Online.

Generate & save your ABC ID
Your unique 12-digit ABC ID will be generated. Download and share it with the Admissions Office.
