Please read these terms and conditions carefully before applying to any program at the Directorate of Online Studies, Guru Nanak Dev University.

By applying to any program at GNDU Online, applicants are deemed to have read and accepted all terms, regulations, and policies listed below and available on our website.

Candidates shall abide by the Rules & Regulations in force as well as those that may be issued by the University from time to time.

Admission made to any program is provisional till the time the University finally approves it.

A false declaration or misrepresentation of qualification or eligibility by the candidate shall nullify his/her admission to the University and attract appropriate penal action, including forfeiture of fees. Original certificates may be verified by University representatives at any time during the program or before awarding a Degree.

Wherever professional experience is an eligibility norm, the University reserves the right to accept or reject at its discretion such certificates submitted by the applicants.

Degrees are awarded as per the rules and regulations prescribed by the University.

Any change of address should be intimated to the Admission Office, GNDU – Department of Online Programs. Any unnotified change of address during the academic year may cause delays or loss in postal transit.

Educational services and content provided to students shall be governed by the Terms & Conditions of Service, as published at www.gndu-online.in/terms-and-conditions.

Fees once paid is refundable only as per the Withdrawal and Refunds Policy of the Program, available at www.gndu-online.in/withdrawal-policy. The legal liability of the University shall not go beyond the extent of the fees paid by the candidate.

All applicants are required to go through the Website, the Regulations of the University, Withdrawal Policy, and Terms & Conditions as available online before applying. By applying to the program, applicants would be deemed to have accepted all the above terms and regulations.

What is an ABC ID?

The Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID is a unique 12-digit identifier issued by the Government of India under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It allows students to securely store, accumulate, and transfer academic credits earned across institutions — all in one digital wallet.

ABC ID is mandatory for all students enrolling in UGC-approved online programs from Academic Year 2023–24 onwards.

Step-by-Step Process

Visit the official ABC portal Go to www.abc.gov.in — the official Government of India ABC platform.

Login with DigiLocker Click "Student" and sign in using your DigiLocker account (Aadhaar-linked mobile number required).

Search for GNDU Select your Academic Year, then search for Guru Nanak Dev University as your institution.

Enter your details Provide your name, date of birth, and roll number / enrollment ID exactly as registered with GNDU Online.
5
Generate & save your ABC ID Your unique 12-digit ABC ID will be generated. Download and share it with the Admissions Office.
